Elizabeth Street Moms and Mavens

Last week I had the much enjoyed pleasure of joining the amazing ladies of Elizabeth Street for a delish brunch at the Waverly Inn on Jane St. It was incredible to see old friends and make new ones, attendees included Gilt Groupe founder Alexandra Wilson, stylist Kate Young (dresses Michelle Williams and Natalie Portman), and the social media maven Erika Bearman aka @OspcarPRgirl.

Elizabeth Street is a diamond in the rough when it comes to the digital arena and Apps. The idea was born of Joanna Della Valle "complaining" to her entrpreneurial husband, Emmanuel, "that there wasn’t a site out there that spoke to me and my mom friends. An Elizabeth Street woman is a mom who likes to travel with her kids, lets them jump in puddles on a rainy day, and tries out the hot new restaurant but at 5:30 so she can take them."

Elizabeth St. was born and it certainly delivers on Joanna's hopes. Moms from arund the world can take inspiration from other smart, stylish moms on the other side of town or across the world. You can find restaurant recommendations for the creative set in LA, or magical garden tours I can take with my 2 daughters in Rome.

The site also has more personal and introspective interviews like me speaking about art collecting, Barney's former Fashion Director Amanda Brooks discussing kids dressing themsleves, or a thoughtful "day in the life" piece on Guest of a Guest owner (and dear friend) Rachelle Hruska MacPherson.

I cant speak highly enough of the site, its mission, and the uberglamorous moms involved.

Take some time and explore the site:
