At Rob Pruitt’s new show at Gavin Brown’s Enterprise — cleverly called “iPruitt”– every surface, inside and out, is covered with blown-up photos that Rob took with his iPhone. There’s a book available as well. There were lots of kids at the opening last week. They were encouraged to jump right into the art — leaves dye cut from gossip magazines. Kit, as you can see, didn’t hold back. There were trucks parked outside serving empanadas and frozen margaritas — everyone got to have dinner with the artist that night .

On Monday night’s premiere of Gossip Girl, Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) flaunted a new boy…..and a new bike.
Her limited-edition, Cynthia Rowley beach cruiser is customized with a CR-designed floral print in light blue and yellow. It comes straight from the Cynthia Rowley runway, where the bikes, in mint, baby blue, ivory, camel, light pink, and navy, were ridden down the runway as the fashion show finale.

Resort 2009
The inspiration was all of our summer favorites…tie-dye, light, airy sweaters, Nantucket bracelets we made into shoes. My frequent visits to Japan prompted a cherry blossom print and some kimono-style pieces. And we livened up a little tie-dye jacket and skirt set with a tuxedo-print tee.
We just presented our resort collection. The girls laid by the pool, all lined up in white lounge chairs, sipping drinks. Some of the models dangled their feet in the water, and one even camped out under her “cabana hat” while studying for finals.

The hot sun made it really feel like summer…good thing we had lots of cool shades on hand. This presentation was a party.
